This video provides an example of a class website and a professor's lecture.
The course, Theater 106 - History of American Theater and Drama, now in session, is taught by Professor Gary Gardner.
The Instructor Interactive Panel allows instructors and TAs to add fresh material to class websites.
Text, images, video clips, documents and web links are uploaded via an easy to use "backend" interface. The resulting display has a presentational quality and visual appeal similar to the prepared elements around it.
This video demonstrates an instructor using webcam video recorded at home. The instructor also uses the Interactive Panel to deliver a lesson supported by multimedia - film clips, in this example.
The course featured in this clip is Film TV 135B - Advanced Screenwriting Workshop. The professor featured here, Joseph Hartstone, teaches Film TV 135A and 135B in Session C, beginning August 2.
Management 400 - Mathematics for Management, is a "pre-skilling" course in basic math created by TFT for incoming MBA students at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Mathematics instruction provides TFT an opportunity to explore a variety of new applications for teaching online.
Management 400, taught by Professor David Ravetch is currently in session.
TFT's mathematics course for the UCLA Anderson School of Management uses custom animations to display equations and graphs with unprecedented clarity and visual appeal.
All animations are created by graduate students in TFT's renowned animation program.
Notice the professor writes equations without ever turning his back to the camera.
